Special Features

OHSU's General Surgery Residency program offers a diverse mix of rotation sites (rural, HMO, community-based, VA, and university) that allow for exposure to a variety of practice models and patient populations. The program is one of the nation's largest, graduating an average of 13 chiefs per year. The program supports work-life balance via the OHSU Department of Surgery's Torch Tournament, a unique year-long competition designed to foster connection, increase morale, and decrease burnout.
