Special Features

The program is participating as one of three plastic surgery residencies in an ACGME approved educational innovation. The residency is competency-based as opposed to a time-based training program, so residents can graduate up to 1 year early once they have attained the ability to practice independently and without supervision. The ABPS has approved the initiative making graduates eligible for fellowships and the board certification process.
