SIU School of Medicine offers cutting edge surgical training with excellent subspecialty, fellowship trained faculty. There is great rapport between faculty and residents that allows for individual attention to each resident's training. We are proud to offer a state-of-the-art surgical skills lab with a robust, annual skills lab curriculum, as well as a training series specifically designed for new residents as they begin their surgical skills training.
