Special Features
Our program has a procedure team which residents are permitted to volunteer to participate in. We have started this initiative to expand education of hands on procedures in internal medicine; particularly in thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture and arthrocentesis. In our ICU clinical experience, residents get hands on training to perform A-line, central lines, HD catheter placement, etc. Our residents are uniquely prepared to do all procedures in practice upon graduating.
