The transitional year is committed to provide individualized opportunities enhancing the medical knowledge and clinical skills of their resident to facilitate a transition to their selected categorical specialty training program while providing high quality care. The curriculum and clinical experiences are developed to teach residents how to provide high-quality patient care and to expose them to scholarly activities such as research, QI projects and patient safety initiatives.
