First-of-its kind Rural Track Program in IM offering a unique blend of clinical experiences and educational settings - rural and urban, community and academic, outpatient and inpatient, general and specialty. PGY-1 is at UW in Seattle ($8500 cost-of-living allowance given); PGY-2 & 3 are in Alaska. The program is designed to prepare trainees for practice as hybrid or primary care internists ("complexivists") in rural communities where subspecialists and other resources may be limited.
